Gff Cologne by Gianfranco Ferre, Gff Uomo layers elegant bitter rose and lavender over a woody oakmoss base to produce a striking, subtly retro scent with a distinctly Italian appeal. The opening notes are a crisp, green and lightly aromatic fusion of lemon, orange, lavender and galbanum. Warm, spicy florals develop as the scent settles, mingling red rose, jasmine, lily-of-the-valley, carnation and ylang-ylang. The final dry down is a clean, classic blend of sandalwood, oak moss and earthy-sweet patchouli shot through with velvety dark-chocolate undertones of vetiver.

Uomo was launched in 1998 by luxury Italian design house Gianfranco Ferre. Ferre, the brand founder, began working in the fashion industry shortly after receiving a degree in architecture at Politecnico di Milano and founded his own company in 1974. The label expanded to include a line of fragrances in 1984. Perfumers who have partnered with the company include Michele Saramito, Pierre Bourdon, Karine Dubreuil, Nicolas Beaulieu, Francis Kurkdjian, Mark Buxton, Alexandra Jouet, Nathalie Lorson, Jean-Charles Niel, Olivier Polge and Alienor Massenet.
