The single base note of patchouli is dark, earthy, and exotic, adding a woody facet to the overall profile.



Italian fashion designer Giorgio Armani first gained a wider following when Richard Gere's character wore his chic designs in the popular movie "American Gigolo," which was released in 1980. Best known for his menswear, he presented his first clothing lines for men and women in 1975 after various stints as a designer for a number of different fashion houses, including Nino Cerutti, coming a long way from his humble origins as a shop-window designer. Hey, everyone, Nicole here. And today, I'll be reviewing In Love with You by Giorgio Armani, a reworking of the popular Because It's You fragrance. The scent opens with strong notes of cherries and raspberries, with a heart of roses, jasmine, and a dash of wormwood, and ending in a base of patchouli. I recommend it for any season but summer, and I'm a big fan of its moderate sillage. You won't overwhelm with it, but it will still be noticeable. Well, that's all for today. I would NEVER buy this.

Received this as a gift and I use it for bathroom spray. I find it horridly sweet like most cheap perfumes. No notes stand out, its a mixture of anything and everything that doesn't go together, even the patchouli smells rancid in this chaos. Armani is going down, and goes along with the insanity times we are living in.
