Guccio Gucci was born in Florence, Italy in 1881. His early years saw him living in Paris and then London. He was influenced by the luggage he saw when he was working in these cities and when he returned to his home town he opened a store that manufactured and sold fine leather goods. The brand, which took its founders last name, was launched in 1921 and the company quickly expanded throughout Italy and then to the United States. Its range soon included bags, shoes, clothing and accessories and its logo would be recognized worldwide. 1974 saw the introduction of its first fragrance for women. All products are original, authentic name brands. We do not sell knockoffs or imitations.

My favorit for many years
My favorit for many years, but I am not able to find it anywhere. I even wrote an e-mail to Gucci and ask if they could tell me anyplace on earth I could by this scent, but until now I have not got an answer(this is several months ago). So if anyone know where I can get this I will be very happy. Anne Norway

Elegant rose garden scent
[...] It's quite lovely and sophisticated, which is, I suppose, why it wasn't selling enough to suit Gucci, with the current market wanting light fruity florals or candybox gourmands.I do find that if sprayed, there is a plasticky character to the top notes, which are sharp and bracing with blackcurrant. I prefer to spray into a roll-on container and use it in that fashion. The heart of the fragrance contains a supremely natural rose, decorated with lacings of tuberose and geranium, and the whole thing is pillowed on a chypre base, so that once the sharp opening notes are gone, the general effect is of sitting in a dewy rose garden. I wore this one all summer, and I'm very glad I stocked up on it, since it is so difficult to find.

Sophisticated and gorgeous
This is the loveliest rose chypre fragrance I've come across. It does start off rather vampy and glammed up, with aldehydes and citrusy berries, but within half an hour, L'Arte relaxes into a glorious rose garden scent, complete with wet earth, green leaves and stems, and the cool evening wind. It lasts 5-6 hours on me.
