Definitely one of my favorite Hermes, which is saying a lot
Oh, yum! Though not what I'd consider a gourmand fragrance, there's a lusciousness to the fruit in this scent that's mouthwatering. I've seen people refer to the grapefruit here, which I don't much get; but the apricot is bold and just-sweet-enough to make magic. The florals come through beautifully in the drydown... takes maybe 15, 20 minutes and you're in another sensory-astral plane. Love it love it love it.

Disappointed, partly my fault
I smelt Jour D'Hermes on a gal I know at a clothing store I shop at. It smells amazing on her. We exchanged where we bought our fragrances and where she had bought it was more expensive than at FragranceX. I always go to a department store and test try a fragrance before buying, walk around with it for an hour or two. This time I did not ... and on me, I could not stand it!

Just not the same....
The fragrance just did not smell like what I sampled at Hermes, in Paris. Perhaps there is another "Absolu"? I wanted desperately to like this, as the sense of smell has the strongest connections to memories.
