Illuminum Black Gardenia Perfume by Illuminum,
Black Gardenia by Illuminum is a vibrant and lively unisex fragrance with long-lasting floral essence. The top notes for this scent are black currant leave and buchu. Middle notes are fresh with gardenia, ylang-ylang and sweet jasmine.
The base note is musk.
In 2011, the fragrance brand Illuminum was created by hair stylist Michael Boadi. The original fragrance range contained 16 fresh scents made from eight ingredients each, and this collection soon gained the attention of figures like Kate Middleton, Lady Gaga and Kanye West.
Boadi was born in Paddington, London and lived there until he moved to New York to begin a career in hair styling. Despite lacking formal training, Boadi’s natural skills earned him a position working with photographer Nick Knight on a Vogue magazine shoot in 1994. Following this big break, Boadi went on to style for magazines like W and Pop. His work has been modeled on Kate Moss, David Beckham, Madonna, Janet Jackson and more.

This fragrance is a gorgeous
white, green floral fragrance,
and is perfectly suited for
young, feminine women looking
for a sophisticated scent.
It opens with
blackcurrant and buchu,
leading into a strong heart
note of jasmine, gardenia,
and ylang-ylang,
and a musky base.
I'd recommend this fragrance as
a great option for any season,
primarily for daytime wear.
