The company is named for the perfume’s designer, Issey Miyake. Miyake introduced the scent in 2009. The Japanese perfumer, born in Hiroshima in 1938, began his career as a graphic artist. He transitioned to fashion and studied in France before opening his own studio in Tokyo in 1970. Before focusing on perfumes, Miyake developed natural fabrics and created elaborate costumes. This fragrance (Issey Miyaki Summer) is too weak. It is not like other Issey Miyaki fragrance which I have. (Issey Miyaki Pour Homme and Issey Miyaki Sport)

Nice summer fragrance
This is my first summer fragrance. It contrasts with other Issey fragrances, yet maintains the Issey lineage. It's a clean scent that suits Spring/Summer months. Even in hot weather it stays fresh. It's not common where I live, which is a bonus as it makes me stand out in the crowd.

Of all the fragrances I've used, this one gets the most compliments by far. It gets as many compliments at the end of the day than the beginning so it really lasts. I use it as a signature fragrance.

Best perfume I have tried
