Nuit D'issey Noir Argent Cologne by Issey Miyake, Nuit D'issey Noir Argent, inspired by the darkness and mysteriousness of the night, was released in 2018. It is a clean and woody scent with top notes of tangy grapefruit and spicy nutmeg, pink pepper and black pepper. In contrast, the heart notes are rich frankincense, saffron and dark leather. It closes with mellow base notes of patchouli, vetiver, myrrh, dark wood and resin.

Issey Miyake is a Japanese fashion designer who launched his first perfume in 1992. All fragrances are developed by Miyake Design Studio in collaboration with Beauté Prestige International in France. Similar to Miyake’s clothing design approach, all fragrances are designed to fit modern life. This particular scent was developed by Dominique Ropion, a French perfumer following in his family’s tradition of working the perfume industry. He trained at Roure’s leading perfumer training school in Grasse, France and has worked on nearly 100 perfumes over his multi-decade long career. All products are original, authentic name brands. Hey, everyone. Cess here. And today, I'll be reviewing Nuit D'Issey Noir Argent by Issey Miyake, a balsamic scent that first launched in 2018. It opens with a mix of nutmeg, grapefruit, pepper, and pink pepper, leading into a heart of leather, frankincense, and saffron, and ending in a base of labdanum, myrrh, vetiver, and patchouli. Very interesting. I sense a lot of metallic occurrences in this fragrance and a bit of a leathery feel although none of those notes are seemingly present in it's DNA. There's also a tiny bit of sweetness to it. You can get a whiff of saffron and vetiver in here. This is definitely an elegant

scent. I think it would be suitable wearing a dark suit and tie. If not, at least, in an event where the dress code is wearing something a bit on the mysterious side. Perhaps even dark pants matched with an equally dark t-shirt. But still fancy.

Unique

The patchuli and saffron with leather really stand out. It lasts about 4 hours on my skin. It's definitely different. I'm glad it wasn't expensive cuz it was a blind buy.

Love this Fragrance

Good buy for winter

Sprayed it today. I don't really care if no one else likes it. Love the spice in it and the murr. I'm a big fan and would definitely recommend buying it.

Dark, Resinous... But Sweet

This is a unique fragrance, it is dark, resinous - But it does have a highend smelling sweeteness to it. This will not be for everyone and could really only be worn during the evening for events / occassions. While you could wear this to the office, I would go light on the sprayer and only wear it during cold months. It is unique and offers something that is not "run of the mill"... But this will not be for everyone. While I appreciate the scent - I will only be using this sparingly and during certain occasions.
