Jean Louis Scherrer was a French fashion designer whose clothing was favored by the fabulously wealthy and glamorous. Before founding his own company, he worked briefly at Christina Dior starting in 1956. In 1992, he was notably fired from his own company, the first couture designer to be removed from his own-named brand. The business is currently owned by the Dumesnil Group.
