The Grasse-based perfume and cosmetics company of Jeanne Arthes was started by Bernard Perrin in 1978. His goal was to create finely crafted fragrances that were still affordable for the common person and available in most stores. By 1980, the business was exporting its wares to an international market. In 2016 it created the l’Atelier des Bois de Grasse brand, and in 2017 it started the Palquis brand. All products are original, authentic name brands. We do not sell knockoffs or imitations.

Enjoy a little of the exotic every day
This is a lovely fragrance, fairly strong on first spraying but melting away fairly quickly. Sillage is not great; it stays close to the skin, and it lasts only a couple of hours. I'd like to get another bottle of this and decant into a purse-sized spray so I can reapply during the day if I'm out and about. It is quite delicious, has some depth but what I love about it most is the apricot (not peach!) top notes; very fruity and a little tangy, the perfect pick-me-up if you're feeling a bit tired or sad. Great for daytime, or for a summer's evening. The bottle is gorgeous, a good quality and quite heavy glass flacon, and with the golden/apricot colour of the juice inside, really does evoke an Ali Baba kind of setting. Looks nice on the dressing table. :-)

very softly oriental
This is not a strong scent,it would be what I call softly or subtly oriental,it would be okay for someone who never tries oriental scents,just to dip their toe in the water,so to speak but its not overpowering or cloying,but for me,its not that strong

looks are deceiving
The presentation of the fragrance is fine,the smell is fine but it is too weak.I sprayed on quite lot,I thought it might be oriental/spicy,which the name conjures up,but sadly not

I have purchased this product many times
I discovered this product about 2001,sold in the mall walk way (not in a store) in 2008, could not find it any longer. I was almost in tears (it's my husbands favorite) I saved the bottle for the name and my daughter found Fragrance-X on line.I was os happy [...] I ordered three bottles,the other seven were sold.PLEASEe-mail me when more comes in.
