A unisex fragrance inspired by Tuscan influences, this woodsy floral combines a top note of powdery violet before opening into a heart of fragrant, lemony geranium and starchy Tuscan orris, the root portion of the iris flower. Its solid base notes of sandalwood, musk and amber with the mild bitterness of galbanum and nuances of cyprus
esculentus.
Orris & Sandalwood is the brainchild of perfumer Pierre Negrin, a man with more than two decades of creative perfumery to his credit. His history includes notable creations such as David Beckham’s Homme, Guess Seductive I’m Yours, and Ralph Lauren standouts such as its Polo Black and Ralph Lauren Blue. Jo Malone’s preference for natural ingredients and clean scents wearable by anyone regardless of gender plays out in this 2016 perfume and her 2017 releases as well.
