I bought this fragrance unsniffed & crossed my fingers. I was pleasently surprised! "By Night" is a lovely fragrance that starts off like pink musk (candy) sticks. It's very sweet at the beginning, and can smell a little like "off" alchohol - don't let that deter you. Just when you think you have "By Night" figured out, it changes from a sweet sugary treat to a creamy vanilla rose with the right hint of musk & amber. Recommended!
