Krizia is the Italian fashion brand founded by designer Mariuccia Mandelli in 1954. The brand helped establish Milan as a fashion center. Known as the so-called godmother of Italian fashion, Mandelli became known for using different technical processes, unusual material, and pleating. She was among the first to launch hot pants, very short shorts, in 1971 and became famous for creating sweaters with bird and animal patterns. Besides creating women’s and men’s fashions, the brand became known for handbags, accessories, and footwear.
