Hey everyone, Justin here. And today I'll be reviewing Timbuktu by L'Artisan Parfumeur. Balsamic and woody, the scent is inspired by the tradition of ritual perfume creation among the women of Mali, Africa. Top notes of pink pepper, cardamom, and mango open the fragrance. The heart of the fragrance is made up of an African flower called Karo Karounde, incense, and papyrus. And the base notes consists of patchouli, benzoin, myrrh, and vetiver. It is dry, airy, delicate and well put together

Exotic spices, dry woods, incense. Very very nice, and not unlike Olivier Durbano's Black Tourmaline, but much easier to wear, lacking the often harsh wood edge of Tourmaline. Easily unisex. Dries down with a resinous edge that I adore. Wish the overall experience lasted a touch longer though

Great fragrance overall. My only disappointment was that the bottle on the website is not what you get. I hoping to get the vintage bottle but they sent me the new black bottle. Not cool!

Love It!

It was a blind buy after hearing so many positive comments on Youtube, I just had to give a try! I was excited to receive the product. It was in this classy hexagon bottle with a blue vertical label (older design?). The scent is addictive, it was warm, dry, lightly smokey, lighty leathery and patchouli kind of woody. How I enjoyed this scent was to wear it after shower in the evening, it was like an aromatic therapy that was so relaxing and enjoyable. The longevity is excellent but not overpowering at all since I really love to use it a bed time scent for a good sleep. Timbuktu is a treasure!

Dark, brooding, mysterious and very sexy ...

Magnificent fall winter scent will work its wonders in warm weather as well. Haunting and magnetic. Cryptic components create an earthy, smoky and spiritual scent. Tester price is fabulous.
