Encore Noire with citrus/aquatic notes. 7-8 hours decent performance, longer in the hotter monts with overspray. Can be a daily/dumb reach and is not as offensive as the Original can be sometimes

Disappointed
Probably would try a different flanker or the original in the future. This does not smell to me like bug spray as some have said but has a bit of a sour scent that I'm not crazy about. Will probably use it as a gym/sports fragrance. Wasn't my cup of tea.

A zen temple in an evergreen forest.
Strong incense and evergreen on the opening but quickly dries down to a cozy wood base. The vetiver is evident as expected, but this is much more a wood fragrance. Performance is moderate. It is a robust fragrance so you will detect it on yourself all day, but not too much projection here. Seems to mellow out with maceration. Also excellent when layered with compatible lighter/sweeter unisex fragrances to add a woody, more masculine base. Amazing value for anyone seeking a quality woody fragrance and doesn't mind the light incense notes.

Just right!
Encre Noire (in all its incarnations) is excitingly "challenging," daring you to enjoy it and, when you do, rewarding your courage abundantly. It's got mystery in it, it's no candy store confection. I like the Sport because, while I find the original Encre Noire intoxicating I also find it too strong to wear safely in my circles. Just a tad too dark, too "Gothic," one might even say "defiant." I'd happily wear it all alone by myself to luxuriate in its journey but I don't have that luxury. Gotta be around people. As for the extreme/intense version, well, I am bewilderingly anosmic to it. I gave it multiple tries in the store, on my skin, on my clothes, and smelled absolutely NOTHING. It could as well have been water. (I find this utterly mystifyting.) So the Sport version is just right for me. It's "there," unlike the Intense, but unlike the original it's got a bit of élan, spring, verve. It dances and revels on your skin rather than brooding there ominously like the original. This is only my experience, of course.

Considering how bad the A LA Extreme's longevity and projection were, this one is actually pretty decent. The extreme was the weakest in performance and longevity, yet this one seems do a little better. At least a few hours with 4 sprays. Weird.

Blind bought, overall satisfied
I saw all the hype online and even saw if in a Jeremy video, so I thought for the price I might as well give it a try. I am overall satisfied with this frag, its a good spring daytime scent, especially on rainy days. I took a walk the other day right after it had rained, with this fragrance on and it was pretty nice, could smell the frag morphing from the strongish cypress note, to hits of lavender in the heart, and more of the smokey earthy vetiver in the base. I would not say this is a complement beast by any means, but it can be pleasant. Buy it for yourself, not for others. Great value for money if you like vetiver fragrances!

Odd flanker
This is a safer take on the original Encre Noir and as a result is a less interesting version of itself. The original was a raw cypress/vetiver punch in the face, pure and simple, and that was part of the appeal. With this flanker they have added citrus to the top notes and an aquatic smell that pervades the perfume at every stage. When you combine the original scent profile with citrus and water it doesn't enhance as much as dilute the better parts of the cologne without adding anything special. It's pleasant but it can either be read as an off-melon smell or possibly as fresh sweat as it ages. It isn't a sharp, sweet citrus and the root vetiver musk cashmere combination is much weaker. It's leaning masculine but could pass as a unisex scent and it's not like a typical "sport" cologne. It would be much better if it had the staying power of the original. On my skin the original lasts all day but this will drop down to a skin scent within 2 hours. You will need to be more liberal with it. Imagine walking in the rain in a garden wearing the original and you'll have a good idea of what this one is. I don't recommend this one not because it's bad, but because a low-risk, lower performance version of a superior cologne sitting at the same price. Other brands have done "wet pine forest" better.

I like it very much, nice fragrance.
It is a clean, fresh, woody, fine fragrance with 100% elegance for hot climates, where you only want to smell fresh and clean humid forest and not be loaded with thick perfume, in total 2 hours it stays around you and then remains more on a personal level, whoever approaches it will feel it, it is not a fragrance to leave a long trail for blocks, this is not the case, edt for personal enjoyment and hours of leisure with your partner and daily use.

Least liked of the Holy trinity
I got seduced by positive reviewers and the double layer of Vetiver notes. I'm a suckered for Vetiver. But this fragrance hit my nose like a hammer - perhaps its the watery notes. I'm not sure. But whatever it was, it gave me splitting headache. This happened even after my third attempt. I gave up and gave it away. Sorry...

Fantastic Summer Fragrance with Cheery Vibe. The beginning notes of Grapefruit are fantastic and very uplifting, after the initial opening you are greeted with the familiar "Encre Noire" Vetiver vibe. The Sport version has a less dark Vetiver fell to it, and greater crowd pleasing scent. Wonderful fragrance on hot summer days and phenomenal on gloomy "Rainy" days. (Vetiver smells amazing on rainy days for some reason?!) If you are on the fence to buy the original Encre Noire, give this a try first, you won't be disappointed!

I'm not a big Vetiver fan but........
Not a fan of challenging scents or the usual musty, earthy stuff that smell like you've been digging in the yard all day. But the EN Sport version is lighter and works well in the office. It last until lunch and then I need to re-spray but for the price it's a great deal. It's not super clean but there's an office, gentlemen's smell to it that works. I'm very cognizant of not gassing people out with strong or super cloying scents in the office and this one is good at just laying a vibe.

Yes, It's a all rounder, Great for signature scent. I won't use this in hot summer day though.. Maybe in evening, If air isn't that humid and sticky.
