After taking on Jean Laporte's perfume house in 1997, Jean-Paul Millet Lage became the mastermind behind Ambre Dore. Maitre Parfumeur et Gantier, which translates to "Master Perfumer and Glove Maker," draws inspiration from 17th century French perfume houses. Scented gloves were a fashion statement in these historic times, and the brand has remained close to rich pieces of history such as this to establish its elegant and memorable scents. The designer, originally established in 1988, has 47 different fragrances for men and women of all sophisticated tastes. All products are original, authentic name brands. We do not sell knockoffs or imitations.

Oud Opulence
First released as Soir D'Orient for the middle Eastern market this is MPG's foray into Oud. Perfumer, Jean Paul Millet Lage, does not see an emphasis on this type of perfume in future so I see it as a limited release. Marketed in the women's range this is a unisex perfume that opens with oud, quite a medicinal smell, which doesn't last long, but does seems to add a fixative to the very feminine violet mid notes before fading to an amber, honey leather accord. It has stages of high femininity followed by a masculine swagger. For devotees of this type only. May be collectable.
Bottom Line
No, I would not recommend to a friend.
