French perfumer Pierre Montale founded Mancera in 2008, alongside his earlier namesake brand, following his travels through Saudi Arabia. He found himself inspired by the rich warmth of the fragrances made there, particularly captivated by the use of oud - also called agarwood - and took this experience with him back to Paris. The brand’s fragrances are characterized by intense, long-lasting warmth based in rich woody and spicy ingredients, and the Art Deco-inspired bottles add to the sophistication.
