Although there are many fragrances that have been released by Mariella Burani, she is primarily known for her work in the fashion industry. She began her career as a school teacher, but soon started designing her own apparel. She designed collections for women and children, and she gained a lot of attention throughout the 1960s and 70s. She earned numerous awards throughout her illustrious career, including Best Costume Design Prize of Hollywood and the Italian Republic Knight Prize. In 1975, the Burani Company appointed her as the head of fashion design.
