Introduced in 1999, this alluring passionate fragrance combines zesty citrus, romantic florals, fresh greens and earthy musks. The fragrance opens with juicy notes of mandarin orange, grapefruit, black currant, and the powdery sweetness of violet. These scents give way to the heart of green and floral notes. The middle notes contain jasmine, lily of the valley, cardamom, patchouli, cedar and sandalwood. The fragrance closes with an underlying freshness from green tea mixed with the warm richness of musk and amber.

Mario Valentino was born in Naples in 1932, the son of a luxury shoe designer. Shoe making was in his blood, and he founded his own eponymous brand in 1952. Mario sought to design shoes that were innovative and unique, and became very successful and well known doing so. Celebrity clients included Elizabeth Taylor, Ava Gardner, Catherine Deneuve and Jacqueline Kennedy. Although Mario Valentino died in 1991, his son Vincenzo Valentino continues to run the brand.
