Founded in 1849, Molinard has been based in Grasse, France since its beginnings. Hyacinthe Molinard had a shop that sold Eaux de Fleurs to wealthy clientele, then, with Albert Sittler, opened Maison Molinard, a factory and laboratory where fragrances were bottled in Baccarat, Lalique, or Viard flacons. The brand’s signature fragrance is Habanita, a feminine fragrance that was launched in 1921 and featured vetiver, which had previously been reserved for men’s scents. Celia Lerouge-Benard is the fifth generation of the family to be involved with the business, acting as its main perfumer and leader. All products are original, authentic name brands. Oh this has me underwhelmed. Maybe my nose is too accustomed to organics. The vanilla feels cheap, the patchouli wraps itself around you like a big friendly boa, suffocating you. It's very sweet as many fragrantica reviews say. Thought it was concocted more harmoniously, instead it's as if separate compounds are coming together for the first time at some late night support group meeting. Alas, next time will go directly to the verified works of art, and choose slower and wiser, the house of Molinard isn't necessarily to blame Lovely site though:)

Very sharp line, and scent. The vanilla id great, the left is awful.
