Les Nombres D'or Violette Fumee Perfume by Mona Di Orio, Launched in 2013, Les Nombres D'or Violette Fumee is a love letter from the company's founder, Mona di Orio, to her partner, Jeroen Oude Sogtoen. A seductive, woodsy, and intensely personal fragrance, it opens with top notes of Mediterranean lavender, Calabrian bergamot, and Balkan oakmoss. This exotic trio gives way to middle notes of Egyptian violet and violet leaves, Turkish rose, clary sage, and Haitian vetiver. Its foundation is a warm mix of cashmeran and Somalian myrrh and opoponax. This long-lasting scent is packaged in a stalwart glass bottle with a thick base and oversized gold stopper.

Di Orio founded her eponymous perfume company with Sogtoen, an interior designer, in 2004. Before creating her own label, she studied scents under master perfumer and author Edmond Roudnitska for 15 years. The perfume house launched its first fragrances in 2006. After di Orio's sudden passing in 2011 at the age of 42, Sogtoen continued the company's mission of producing cutting-edge fragrances that pay homage to fragrances of the past by incorporating classic accords such as vanilla, musk, and leather.
