Since I know it's a chocolate fragrance, then I kind of expected the opening sm3ll. Otherwise i would have just thought it's an inoffensive smell that doesn't have any standout scent, maybe a little fresh, maybe a little powdery. It does smell very synthetic, but at this price point, one expects this. Good as an after shower pick, but definitely not worn to be noticed.

This fragance satisfy my need of a everyday work fragance
The fragance Yatch man red is good for everyday use specially if you work in open air hot weather Like carebean Central America or other s type of hot weather in different part of the world that have same weather. Not spensive at all. Is not an amazing smelling but is a good smelling for that amazing price. Its smells clean, little oceanic notes, citrus and soapy notes. Last at least 6 1/2 hours Normal proyection moderate.

If one likes chocolate than this one's for you
A multi-tier essence that's definitely not a linear, but very triangular. The initial top notes of mandarin orange, lemon citrus, and aldehyde. The middle note brings in an iris and rose which is enveloped in a gourmand manner. The grounding of this brings a subtle dark chocolate mixed with a maraschino cherry just off the whipped cream. Lovely soft fragrance. Definitely a re-buy.

An extremely 'fresh' essence and the 'cleanest' one going
A linear fragrance. It has an extremely clean and refreshing smell in that it reminds me of clean laundry having just come off the clothes line. The dominant smell here is a fresh watery pre-ocean storm smell that evokes a memory of being on the shores of a great waterway. Though it's a short-lasting essence it's one that you can reapply a couple of times a day. I would purchase again simply on account of it's extremely clean and aquatic smell.

The Yacht Man 'Metal' cologne is quite simply 'clean'. An unobtrusive scent that is decidedly 'liner' versus 'triangular'. Clean boosted by aquatic and green it's easily worn for daytime and work.

Awesome scent and incredible bargain..... Will buy again.
Tried on an impulse purchase and used as a daily work scent and got amazing response first time worn. Complements all day long about fresh crisp citrus scent I thought it held quite well noticed shirt held scent. I am a cologne junkie and have been pleasantly surprised buy more than a few "bargain" finds this is one of those "finds!"

Lovely Wish It Lasted Longer
For the price this is definitely one of the best cheap aquatic type scent,it smells very fresh,lively aquatic,reminds me of being near the ocean BUT much smoother and nicer than Nautica Voyage. Only thing is after 2-3 hours becomes a skin scent shame.IF you don;t mind reapplying then do get it it smells lovely manly moderns and very fresh!

exceptional...it's a voyage for the senses
blind buy ,BINGO,this is my first Yacht Man buy,i am so pleased , if the others in the Yacht Man series smell as fine as this i have hit the cologne lottery , seriously this is freshly exotic and juicy,may need a spritz to freshen it up during the day but other than that this is a keeper.

Bought this for my husband as it was supposed to have a chocolate fragrance, but it is so weak, it doesn't smell anything like chocolate. Can't smell it after 1 minute of spraying, so you keep spraying more, to no avail. A waste of money.

Smells cheap, but it is.
Some people enjoy this scent. I found it to be almost sickening, the top notes are dominated by cedar, but it dries down to a less offensive scent. Nothing special in the ways of projection or longevity, but it is cheap, for the price not a bad buy.
