Loved it at first sniff
I acquired a sample, didn't read it properly and applied it. All day long I got little whiffs that were divine. I rang home to find out what it was and went to the shop in my lunch break to buy it.

The opening is very aldehydic and with some Anise which make it smell like bath soap. Then comes Lavender and Carnation, which makes the fragrance VERY FLORAL. There is Leather in the base but the Moss I can't really find it except at the next day and only on clothes.

Not Oscar's Best but OK
Pleasant, a heavier, sweet scent, but not bad.. I thought I was ordering the Pour Lui Fresh, but ordered this one in error. The Fresh is MUCH more appealing - a lighter, citrusy scent than Pour Lui plain. I am disappointed this did not last longer. From Oscar de la Renta I expect better quality.

Great product...my personal favorite for the last 40 years!!
This has been the best overall cologne that I have used for more than 40 years now. It is so refreshing to me that I sometimes just spray it around my home for a very distinctive scent that defines my space. Not flowery or overpowering ...but enough to give a personal touch. My Favorite Go To Cologne Finally Found it again !!!
I Use this Cologne everyday after I get out of the shower and the Fragrance last almost all day until I return home. It has such a nice crisp clean smell and everyone always compliments me on the fragrance. It is almost become my "signature smell" as this is what my friends have coined it.

Old expired scentless. Fragrant? No.
Three classic men's scents were shipped to me. All three lacked much in the way of fragrance. It was if they sat around for years and expired. Very very bad. A complete waste of money. A fourth fragrance - a woman's fragrance - was okay. Now comes the inconvenience of returning/shipping the fragrances back to FragranceX. Maybe. Or maybe not. I'm quite busy and might simply decide to stop buying from FragranceX. A refund would be nice. But I really don't fancy hassling with returning the items. Not sure if I even have the original packaging. What would be better is if FragranceX shipped the quality product that I paid for.

I still love to buy some of my earlier men's cologne favorites, but since they are no longer "new" the manuf. changes the formula to a less cost form to them! They shud realize that a whole new generation would gladly pay much more for these former "Champions"! Like -Santos de Cartier et.al.! It now smells like a cheap knock off. # I would buy it again at the higher price if Santos Cartier came back "exactly" as the original spray black bottle! Paris made by Parfums Cartier . This stuff is amazing . I only regret not buying it sooner. I believe that it is a good office scent in its current formulation. It's not as powerful as people say. I don't have anything to compare it too. Definitely old school and for a MAN, this is for a rugged gentleman. Fifty plus. It's for the independent man who wears this for himself and no one else. 9.5 out of 10 and definitely in my top 10.

I recall this scent from the 1980s and this version is nothing like what I remember. It's not a bad scent, per se, but it's just one of the weaker "premium" frags I've encountered in recent years. I sprayed it on my wrist not even 2 hours ago and there not a remnant of it exists. It's certainly cheap enough, but it's not worth it to me. Also not pleased with how this was wrapped. The tester bottle I ordered was placed into a bubble wrapped envelope with an adhesive interior. When the bottle was removed, the adhesive took much of the writing on the bottle. Just not a good experience with this one overall.

I've been wearing Oscar for 40 years, and I still adore it.
Sometimes I just CRAVE this scent. I've been known to wear it to bed, alone! It hardly fades, even outdoors. Sometimes it can be overpowering, in close spaces. But only if you over-apply.
