Beautiful violet/iris perfume
I love powdery perfumes and the more I collect powdery scents the more I want to try. That being said E'sprit de Oscar is a soft, lovely powdery fragrance w/ a hint of freshness from lemon. E'sprit de Oscar is a type of perfume that is a signature scent. If you want a soft violet and a softly powdery iris/ w/ heliotrope, something that is powdery but not loud or sharp but still long lasting and leaves a beautiful trail and it has a nice soft lemon twist that keeps it slightly fresh and not dated give E'sprit de Oscar a try. This is a very classy understated elegant type of perfume worn by a woman of great style and taste.

Good clean smell
I bay one from guerlain i have to return it was terrible smell just not for me . I bay this one and smells almost exactly to the one i bay from guerlain but!!! Is more clean,fresh and little sweet just little . the other one have no sweet at all ,was not good at all! and super expensive. Oscar de la renta really make this parfume and notes beautiful . Good perfume i recomend this for everyone ho dond like that extra sweet or that dry lemon parfume. This is one pafume make with class!

Nice but a bit old fashioned
This is very similar to The Blue Hour by Guerlain (I wrote the perfume's title in English) but w/out the anise note, which I actually prefer. I only got the mini to give it a try and while I think it is a well done fragrance it is a bit to old fashioned for me. This is a very powdery violet fragrance, w/ tons of heliotrope. It's quite dusty and very vintage. If you are looking for a more inexpensive alternative to Guerlain's The Blue Hour this is a good one for you to try, and I actually think it smells better. I will enjoy the mini I bought for my collection. I only gave it 3 stars because it just isn't something I would wear but it is a well done perfume and if you like that vintage violet/heliotrope powdery style it is one of the best out there and the price is very good.

I absolutely love this perfume. It was a total blind buy I got it at a reasonable price at my tj max. It last on me all day it lasted all day. To me it is a very feminine and classy perfume.

I really-really came to loving it. It was a blind purchase and my first reaction was rather negative: too powdery, too old-schoolish. But give it a chance, and it will surprise you. Vintage, but not old fashioned - just classy! Powdery, but only as a base on your skin - extremely feminine and soothing. Yes, you'll have probably to renew it several times a day, which I do. But mostly because i want to smell it more, I never have enough of it. Will buy it again for sure.

Not as good as the original...
What a disappointment this version was! Now i know why it was removed from the ODLR line! Has NO longevity, very weak. Lasts about 30 minutes to about an hour pushing it.. As far as its composition is concerened, although it's too powdery at first, after about 15 minutes it turns into a reminiscent of the original ODLR, but unfortunately, it basically vanishes withing an hour. No staying power whatsoever.

Not sure how anyone could consider it a perfume. It was the second perfume, after Boudoir, that I absolutelly could not stand (they have some chemical juice in common, that's for sure). One can see that it was done with skill, but a perfume simply cannot be better than its ingredients...
