Calandre Perfume by Paco Rabanne, Calandre for women was first released in 1969 and is lovely feminine fragrance that is wonderful for any season and almost any event as it can seamlessly move from day into night. The perfume starts with the bright and refreshing notes of citrusy bergamot and crisp aldehydes, then moves into the fresh floral notes of hyacinth, geranium, rose, lily-of-the-valley, jasmine, and a surprising touch of exotic orris root. The base notes warm up and balance out the fragrance with vetiver, oak moss, musk, amber, and soothing sandalwood to comfort as well as seduce.

This perfume has a moderate to long-lasting longevity to survive the day without reapplying as well as a moderate sillage to entice without overpowering those around you. The perfume was created by the French fashion house Paco Rabanne which was founded in 1966 by Spanish fashion designer Francisco Rabaneda Cuervo, and the company launched their first fragrance in 1969. All products are original, authentic name brands. We do not sell knockoffs or imitations.

Once its with you it can't be replace

I use it everyday all day. I love that the scent does not go away and I only need to spray it once for me to smell good. Please keep on selling it in the stores because it is getting hard to find it lately. I have used this perfume since I was fifteen years old and I am fourty four years now. I

You can't go home again....not the same as the original

I have to support the reviewer who wrote that it is not the same as the original. I know Paco Rabanne reissued this, and it is authentic, but the notes are very different. It is missing the clarity of aldehydes, green notes, bergamot, lemon in the original. It teases for one second,in similarity,
...
but then sinks into a heavy, powdery, musky aroma. I still have a 30 year old bottle of the original Calandre with a few drops in it and the new issue is very different. I am not sure if I will keep it ...sadly disappointed. Why did they change a great thing? I do not have the original box, but if anyone does, would be interested in what were cited as ingredients, so I could compare it to the ingredients in this updated issue.

Disappointing indeed

I have used this product as my signature fragrance since the 1980s and never! changed to another, I could not stand another smell on me. I felt like I am addicted in a significant way. Since the announcement to stop production I bought through several different online shops but each time I encountered another disappointment. Nothing compares to the original. It is such a shame. Does anybody have a suggestion to which perfume to switch?

Bottom Line

No, I would not recommend to a friend.

Once upon a time…

I started using it in 1974 when I was teenager my skin reacted in a marvellous way, everyone asking me what was I wearing. It was very delicate , but modern, it was expressive my way, " I know what I want but I'm shy". It made me feel good. Nowadays it has changed a little, because it doesn't stay very long as it use to.

Bottom Line

Yes, I would recommend to a friend.

Disappointment

calendre is a great fragrance, it is unfortunate that the product I received and returned did not smell like the product I have worn periodically since the 70s.

No, I would not recommend to a friend.

If you're looking for the "real" smell, this is not it.

Would like to use it in the mornings but I'm not after I tried it 3 times. The metal that goes around it is loose and flimsy.

Bottom Line

No, I would not recommend to a friend.

Disappointed

Calandre by paco rabanne and Caleche by Hermes were among my favorite perfums/colognes in the 70s-90s. However, the Calandre that I received doesn't have much pizazz nor does it last long at all. It does not seem to be the same that I used to wear. I understand that Caleche is made differently now; the original is no longer available. Even though I am disappointed, I will try another product from FragranceX in the near future.

Bottom Line

No, I would not recommend to a friend.
