Centaure Blue Cologne by Pierre Cardin, The Pierre Cardin Centaure collection was launched in 1996, and Centaure Blue was among the fragrances released with this noteworthy set. This masculine cologne features a dry effect that adds to the woodiness of its notes. The top notes are made of incense, bergamot, lavender and grass. These lead into core notes of French labdanum, jasmine, nutmeg and spicy clove, warm notes which are then blended into base dashes of styrax, vanilla, sandalwood, patchouli and Virginia cedar.

Pierre Cardin is an Italian-born designed who moved to France in order to study architecture. However, while in Paris, he began work under designer Christian Dior and found fashion design more to his liking. Cardin launched his first men’s boutique in 1957, and success soon followed. The designer didn’t begin creating fragrances until well after his brand had reached international fame, in 1972, but has since launched well over 40 unique fragrances for both men and women.
