Pierre Cardin was born in Italy in 1922 and moved to France with his family as a child. Raised in central France, Cardin started working as a clothier’s apprentice at age 14. He made his way to Paris in 1945, working for Jeanne Paquin, Elsa Schiaparelli, and Christian Dior before establishing his own fashion house in 1950. Cardin became known for his avant-garde styles, futuristic designs, unisex fashions, and geometric shapes. He launched his first fragrance in 1972, partnering with Coty. A boosy start. Some nice bitter citrus and absinthe kind of feel. Leathery dry down. Really nice.
