Prada Olfactories Purple Rain Cologne by Prada, Prada Olfactories Purple Rain is a floral scent that launched in 2015. While it primarily features the middle note of iris, it also includes top notes of bergamot and galbanum; heart notes of rose, neroli and hedione; and base notes of white musk, sandalwood, cedar, vetiver and violet.

Mario and Martino Prada founded their namesake fashion house in the early 20th century. However, it was under the direction of Mario's granddaughter, who took over the business in 1978, that the brand evolved into what it is today. The company introduced totes and backpacks the following year and soon began selling handbags, as well. The brand initially started selling artisan fragrances at its boutiques in 2003. Each perfume focused on a single scent note. Its first mass-market fragrance hit stores the following year. Purple Rain is part of the brand's Prada Olfactories collection, which features nine other perfumes from nose Daniela (Roche) Andrier. Each one comes with a silk purse.
