Founded in 1967, the company quickly grew from selling ties to launching the Polo men’s wear line, which led to the first in-store designer boutique in Bloomingdale’s, New York, in 1969. Then, in 1971, Lauren launched his women’s wear line and opened his first standalone store, located on luxurious Rodeo Drive in Beverly Hills, California. With the introduction of the Polo cotton mesh shirt in 1972, the brand became known for its preppy signature style. In 1978, the brand launched its first men’s and women’s fragrances. This smells very good and very expensive. This is a magnet and smells to be on the niche side of fregrances.

Wish I had know about this sooner
This is a modern take on a traditional fragrance for men. Wish Ralph Lauren had done a better job promoting it. Didn't know about this until a few months ago, now I wear it almost every day. This is a deep, complex, musky scent with an occasional whiff of bourbon. It's the opposite of the lemon-limey fragrances I hate. Most reviewers say this is a winter evening fragrance. I say go for it, wear it whenever you want!

Really nice Polo scent - not like regular Polo in a good way
Ralph Lauren's interesting take on other classic "leather" type scents. This is a winner. I get compliments from ladies where I work all the time.
