This is so unique and different!
Wow. This one really blew me away. I don't think I've been surprised by a fragrance since the release of the original Dior Poison way back in the 80s and that's a pretty big realization for me given how long I've been sampling perfumes and how many I have in my collection -- which, by the way, is substantial and varied in its makeup; I have scents in all ranges from a wide variety of niche, classic, trendy perfumes. You name it, I probably have it. Anyway, this one is unique. It's peppery, it's piney, it's loud and bold and yet soft and alluring. I'm at a bit of a loss for appropriate words to describe this scent. Maybe a good place to start is with presentation. This perfume arrived in a very classy, sturdy package. You pull the box off of the base where the bottle resides in a cutout black velvety stabilizer. The bottle itself looks like marble (?) and is heavy, solid and stylish. The cap is magnetic, black and heavy. Hmm! This is looking good! Once opened and sampled, I had to sit there for a minute and contemplate what was happening. Is this pepper? Cedar? What, pray tell, is happening here? Then the scent starts to bloom and soften and OMG it's incredible. It's so totally different from anything I've ever experienced and it was a 100% blind buy. I'd tried reading reviews but I could not find any. I tried Fragrantica for details but alas, nothing I could find. I'm starting to think this is a hidden gem that people in other countries are enjoying but here in the west, we're in the dark. I'm thrilled to own it and will enjoy it for years. Oh, and yes ... compliments on the first day wearing it ... even from my son who is in his early 20s and accustomed to smelling scents that are worn by women in his age group. He said "It's stunning". I could not agree more. I'd suggest buying it but it's not for the faint of heart or someone looking for a typical sweet scent. This is for the brave woman who is not afraid to be bold! Happy shopping! < 3
