Although Roger & Gallet did not enter the perfumery business until the 1860s, these business partners inherited a legacy from the line’s original creator, Jean Marie Farina. The French perfume master released his first scent, Jean Marie Farina Extra Vieille, in 1806. Before selling his business, he produced several fragrances and soaps. Post-purchase releases include Lavender Royale in 1899, Le Jade in 1923 and Blue Carnation in 1937. The latest of its more than 40 scents includes 2018’s Feuille de Figuier. All products are original, authentic name brands. We do not sell knockoffs or imitations.

a modern retro, very nice, for the price unbeatable
i have the vintage l' homme of R&G, which i love very much. open black is like a modern version of it. i would say that this is a retro scent, but smells not like your grandfathers favourites. azzarro p.h., paco rabanne p.h. comes to mind, but with a more modern vibe. sillage is not overpowering, it stays long time, not so strong as the vintage. it has also not the scent quality of the vintage, which smells more natural.
