I have mixed feelings about this one.
I think I expected more of a gentle floral scent balanced by a light woody note, but the rosewood just took over the scent for me and I'm still on the fence after having this for a few weeks. I'll spray it on sometimes in the evenings as a bedtime scent, but I would not buy it again, and I'm honestly not impressed with it. It doesn't smell bad; it's just not what I was looking for.

A Lovely fragrance indeed
Lovely doesn't smell anything like what I would have expected from the branding (SJP in a super girly pink taffeta ballerina dress). In fact, if I hadn't read the Fragrantica reviews, I might have passed on an incredible bargain that came my way with a full-size bottle of the perfume plus a generous-size container of the scented body cream (which I tried, and it's very nice quality, comparable to any good department store offering). I layered the lotion and EDP before bedtime, and it was very pleasant and relaxing. The lavender is the top note for me; I do catch a bit of the narcissus and possibly orchid, but this is mostly a woody aromatic scent. I get why people say it's sort of unisex. My husband likes it but demurred when I suggested he wear it--and that was before he knew the name or saw the bottle--so I think there must be more floral in the bouquet than I'm registering. I think I smell like a very clean barbershop, which is quite nice. You might even say it's Lovely.

My favourite fragrance ever
My favourite perfume- I wear this almost every day - I have a bottle on standby so when I finish the current one I am never without! I am often complimented in the afternoon - so it must last well even if my nose has got used to the smell. Just gorgeously fresh and clean smelling. Just lovely in every way.

What is that smell?
I sprayed this on years ago at the perfume counter at a high end store. I loved it! I don't know what you sent me, but it wasn't the Lovely that I remembered. The bottle was a "Tester" and came in a ordinary white box. When I sprayed it on, it has a very weird chemical smell to it. I thought it was just me, then I sprayed it into the air and it smelled the same. I left it on my skin for an hour, and there was no change in it, so I washed it off. I was very disappointed. I would send the bottle back, but I believe it would cost more than what I paid for it.

This was okay. I can't really describe what it smells like but it's soft , clean, slightly sweet, and a tad of musk once it settles. It's noticeable but not strong. Easily a signature scent. The dry down is what sold me on this because the opening notes were a bit too citrusy. I don't think it's meant to be worn at night but I think that's when I'm going to use it since it's such a calming scent.
