The fragrance was launched with other scents in the company’s Private Blend collection. It opens with top notes of spearmint, black currant, tarragon, grapefruit, neroli, Italian mandarin, bergamot, and lemon sfumatrice. The heart of the fragrance contains orange, clary sage, thyme, wild flowers, black pepper, jasmine, and shiso leaf. It closes with labdanum, musk, civet, amber, and vetiver root.

Tom Ford began his own brand in 2005 after working in the fashion industry for years with Perry Ellis and Gucci. Yves Saint Laurent was acquired during his time with Gucci, and Ford was appointed director of one of the new acquisition marketing campaigns. His provocative and controversial campaign was met with great success, and noted Ford as a designer to watch.
