Van Cleef & Arpels was founded in 1896 as a luxury jewelry maker and shop. Two men, Alfred Van Cleef and his brother-in-law, Charles Arpels, grew famous for their innovative techniques for setting valuable stones. This jewelry line has been worn by royalty around the world, as well as political figures, socialites, and celebrities. Gradually, the company’s popularity allowed expansion, and in 1978, it released its first fragrance. This scent, part of the perfumer’s luxurious Collection Extraordinaire, was launched in 2009. I only gave it 3 stars for the packaging
I returned this overpriced, cheaply made fragrance. I'm happy others delight in it but maybe they are trying to justify the high cost they paid. Not only does it smell cheaply made but it has zero projection. I think they classed up the packaging to make up for the subpar quality of the product.

One of the best vanillas out there. Longevity not the best but the scent makes up for it. Beautifully done. Blind buy approved.

Recommended buy - absolutely wonderful!
An absolutely lush fragrance! It is warm, creamy, the vanilla is strong - there is no denying you're wearing a vanilla scent. On my skin, it is long lasting - I've worn it to bed and the scent lingers til morning. It also sticks on my clothes for days. It took me a while to get used to this scent, because of my unrefined nose. But it didn't take long for me to start appreciating this scent, at all. Definitely a great scent for cuddles :)

one of the best vanilla ever!
great vanilla fragrance. the cocoa gives it a powdery feel but its still mainly vanillic in my opinion. can be used all d time but during hot days can be cloying. go easy with the trigger and ull be set for almost every situation

Lovely fragrance that I find addictive
I really love this fragrance, but I wish it had better projection. I am thrilled that I got it from FragranceX at such a great price. I would not buy it at department store price.

absolutely awful
I just got this and couldn't wait to use it. I choked from the cheap fumes right off. it smells like headache inducing dimestore perfume. you get synthetic orange. then this flat almost barely there just cheap indistinguishable perfume smell while you try to sort out any notes youll get a blast of synthetic vanilla then chocolate then orange then its just gone. in five minutes. if you douse yourself an hour later people will make sure they stand away from you. you will smell cheap in this. it reminded me of a very bad Avon perfume from 1980. any Avon perfume.

Beautiful
I got a sample from a fragrance friend and immediately loved it. I quickly bought a bottle. This is so nice. Beautiful fragrance, very nice bottle, last very well on me personally, though a lot of ppl say is doesn't last (maybe they are anosmic idk).

I just noticed some perfumes local shops in oman sales van cleef perfumes with about 35% less than the original price of the perfume . Is it fake perfume. Best regards
