The design house Woods of Windsor has a long history, starting in 1770 as a modest apothecary serving the royal family from the English county of Berkshire. The discovery of an archive of perfume recipes in the store’s attic in the 1970s led to the revival of the brand, still based from the original location. The fragrances bearing the Windsor name, such as Blue Orchid & Water Lily, are inspired by those original recipes, whether directly based on the records or taking cues from the classic designs and adding modern innovation.
