I would not buy this Yardley April Violets again!
I tried one spray and for a few moments I was able to smell a slight violet fragrance. After about 10 minutes, the fragrance was overpowering and no longer smelled floral, but instead, it smelled like a men's cologne. Could it be the sandalwood ingredient that ruined the floral scent?

April Violets Body Mist
This does not smell at all like the EDT which I really like and is a lovely scent. It has a stale awful smell which unfortunately lasts a long time and doesn't wash off easily. This is very disappointing as I have the lotion and powder as well as the EDT and was hoping this would be a lighter version to wear when it's warmer weather or after a bath. BIG mistake but too much trouble to return it as I live in Canada.

Lovely impressions
Unfotunately both boxes that I had purchased arrived wet as the corks were not properly sealed and when I presented one of them as a gift it turned out that it was half-empty. I checked the other box and it was the same situation - it had a leak. Very disappointing for me as I inteded to present them for Christmas to good friends..

Wonderful Violet Scent!
I have loved April Violets since the 1960s. I love violet based perfumes (Insolence, Love in Black) and was so excited to see this was still made. One spray and an explosion of heady, wonderful violet hits your senses. It's almost like flower candy...you wish you could take a bite! I love spritzing my bathwater with it and spray a bit on my hands and chest before bed. Although it is a beautiful scent, it is comforting as well. You do have to reapply it throughout the day but at this price, I don't mind at all. If you love florals...if you love violet...you will love this!
