I don’t like this fact about myself.

“What’s this?” I asked, gently stroking the dark pink ribbon that wrapped around the box.

“Just something I thought you might enjoy,” he said, smiling a bit more mysteriously than is normal for him.

I pulled the pink ribbon and began to free up the wrapping paper on the end. Inside I saw a lighter pink box, then the words VERSACE in a soft silver emblazoned across the front of it.

“What did you do?” I looked up at him surprised. (Remember, I am not an easy person to buy a gift for.)

He pointed at the top of the box. “Just open it,” he said.

I looked up at him, shocked. Though my boyfriend knows a thing or two about fashion, he’s never been a man very interested in fragrances or scents. And, he certainly wasn’t one to give me random gifts.

As if he could read my mind, he went on.

“I was walking through the park last week on my way to work. A woman passed by and her scent was so transfixing, I had to turn around and ask her what she was wearing. When she told me it was the Versace Bright Crystal Eau de Parfum, I just knew I had to get it for you. It had your name all over it.”

I could feel my face blush when he said this. The vision of my boyfriend stopping another woman to ask her about her scent because he thought it would be perfect for me was so romantic and sexy that it made me want to try the Bright Crystal right away. As I sprayed the perfume on each side of my collarbone and the insides of my wrist, my boyfriend and I both inhaled deeply. Though I’ve always liked a nice floral fruity fragrance, I can honestly say that the Versace Bright Crystal was like none I had ever smelled before.

But with that first spray of the perfume, soon I was transported out of my small apartment and into a dreamy fresh garden filled with a sensual blend of soothing blossoms that I’ve never experienced living in a city.

The top notes of pomegranate mingled with a refreshing chilled yuzu and created a zesty and outdoorsy feeling, while the floral heart notes of peony, magnolia, and lotus flower added a delicate and feminine touch.

The Bright Crystal Versace base notes of acajou wood, vegetal amber and musk notes gave the fragrance a warm and sensual finish, making it the perfect eau de parfum for both daytime and nighttime wear.

Speaking of body lotion, I decided to try that next. I gently squeezed the tube and immediately my nose was met with the same sensual and sexy scent that the eau de parfum had already given me.

As I applied it to my neck and shoulders, the body lotion perfectly complemented the perfume, enhancing its scent and leaving my skin feeling silky smooth.

The lotion had a luxurious texture and absorbed quickly into my skin, leaving behind a subtle hint of the pomegranate and magnolia, as well as the musk notes which lingered with me for the rest of the evening.

And what an evening it was! Though we weren’t celebrating anything special (other than my fabulous new scent!) both my boyfriend and I found ourselves mentioning the Bright Crystal scent that continued to stay with us throughout our dinner and later, dancing date.

But it was true…the scent was one that was hard to forget.
