I love 4711 Cologne! While it does not tend to last very long, one can apply it several times a day - morning, refreshing in afternoon, or going out for evening. And you never overpower your close contacts with your choice of scent - an absolute no-no today when so many of us are working in close contact with others. Having worked in a close environment with others in a hospital setting, I appreciate the non overpowering scent so much more. It is a wonderful option to the heavier scents!

Bought as a blind buy....never again. This is not for me, smelled strong but that " old" style cologne smell. Did not like the fact it was in a huge bottle that you " splash" on. I knew then it was not a scent I would like. I will stick with the ones I know that are for me. It is a beautiful bottle for presentation, but, that is all.

I bought this as I have seen so many reviews praising the scent. Couldn't believe the terrible odor when I opened the bottle. I have tried it 5 or 6 times as I thought it must be me who Is wrong, but after a 2 week stint I have to say it has gone in the bin, I wouldn't wear it at all. Maybe I got a bad bottle or something but please smell it before you buy it as I have never thrown a bottle away before and I have over 50 fragrances in my collection, some I have given away but I think if I gave 4711 away the person receiving it would never trust me again. Please try before you buy on this one.

A Classic with perfect quality and balance
This is THE original cologne from the German city of Cologne. The quality is obvious and heartening. It is the perfect after bath splash, as a base for your stronger fragrance. Also fine for your everyday stay home pleasures. A good value. For Canadian clients however, shipments can be delayed because FragranceX still use Canada Post, our country's worst and most expensive delivery system.

If it weren't for the design of the bottle I'd be very upset about the money I wasted on a fragrance that smells like Mrs. Meyer's all purpose cleaner mixed with Dolce and Gabbana Light Blue, but watered down. The fragrance is very weak and doesn't last more than an hour. My boyfriend actually liked it but the cologne was so weak nobody could tell he was wearing it.
