Annick Goutal Rose Oud Perfume by Annick Goutal, Anick Goutal Rose Oud, launched in 2006, was designed to give women an air of mystery and to awaken the senses through strong oriental undertones and musky top notes. With base notes of agarwood (oud) and incense, a middle note of Turkish rose and top notes of cardamom and coriander, this fragrance is subtle and exotic. Annick Goutal began her career as a prizewinning pianist and model, but after a turbulent marriage, a battle with breast cancer, raising a beautiful baby girl on her own and finally, marrying her childhood sweetheart, she went into the skin cream business with a friend. In 1977, she met perfumer Henri Sorsana, and the two of them spent the next seven years perfecting their first three fragrances: Passion, Folavril and Eau d’ Hadrien. Each of her initial fragrances was made to serve as a reminder of someone or some time special in her life, and each scent she creates today does more or less the same.
