Mistral Patchouli Perfume by Atelier Cologne, Mistral Patchouli is a unisex fragrance with soft spicy, floral, patchouli, fresh spicy, powdery, and aromatic main accords. Presented in 2013, this scent commences with head notes of star anise, black pepper, and pomelo. At the heart are geranium, iris, and incense notes. Concluding this composition are patchouli, benzoin, and Haitian vetiver base notes. With moderate sillage and longevity, this fragrance works best on spring days. Perfumer Jerome Epinette is the nose behind this aroma.

Atelier Cologne is a niche perfume house founded by Sylvie Ganter and Christopher Cervasel in 2010. Ganter had previously trained in perfumery at Hermes Parfums. The mission of the fragrance line is to create what they call Colognes Absolues and wear them as pure perfumes that can be worn for long periods of time. The company’s products are made in France and the main boutique is in Brooklyn, New York. The perfumes are packaged in French glass bottles with handmade leather stoppers. All products are original, authentic name brands. We do not sell knockoffs or imitations.

Unfortunately, this perfume is off. I have a bottle left from a previous purchase before Atelier discontinued this particular fragrance and I was thrilled to find it again. But, it has a strong alcohol/sweetness that smells almost rancid. I would hesitate to but anything more as I spent over 150$ for something that has clearly expired.

No, I would not recommend to a friend.
