In 1903, Ernest Daltroff started Parfums Caron in Paris, France. Though he didn’t possess formal training in the art of perfume making, he did have an excellent nose and love of scents which helped him create one of the most storied fragrance houses. The year 1911 saw the release of Narcisse Noir, one of the first perfumes to earn critical acclaim. The film Sunset Boulevard would go on to heavily feature the fragrance. Daltroff’s constant muse was Felicie Wanpouille, his artistic director. Their love was assumed, but never proclaimed. All products are original, authentic name brands. A classic, but not for everyone...
This is a unique product for adventurous men and style-conscious women, which is to say this is not everyone's cup of floriental. Resins and balms combine with lilac to create an almost fruity scent, but remember, it is supposed to mimic the aroma of fine champagne. Not as challenging as it is eccentric, you'll think you found the holy grail of fragrance if this is to your liking. You can spend a lot more for something with a lot less character. Can be a beast so apply with caution.

Terribly Disappointed
Im from NYC and used this fragrance in the sixtys and seventees.I love this product snd tge price was excellent. What was disappointing was the fact that the potency of the cologne is very weak. I use to put a couple dabs on and it lasted for hours. I had to pour a small amount in my hand and after an hour there was no scent at all. It appears to be diluted to the extreme and Im thinking this is why it was such a great price. I hope your other colognes arent diluted as well.

was introduced to this fragrance in 1974 by my teacher, Mr Travis Walker. this cologne is not for everyone as it is very unique. but for those bold enough to wear it, the compliments will come.it is very long lasting. a little dab will do you.

I would buy this product again
I was always the guy known to smell good. Aramis made me very popular in college. Royal Bain de Champagne has an extraordinary history in my life as a baby boomer. As a lad in the 60's I was an aspiring actor. I ran errands for different celebrities. Champagne was the exclusive cologne for male entertainers. At that time you could purchase Champagne at Marshall Field's and Lord and Taylor's. I haven't seen Champagne in 30 years until your website. Thanks!

I've posted a comment about this fragrance in the Ladies section. It was a couple of months back. I have to update my review. Having used this on many occasions, this is one of the most unusual scents I have come across. It is classed as unisex.It has grown and grown on me.Even my son, who is not interested at all in scents,clothes,washing up, hoovering et al has even commented how nice I smell. Reminds me of Dad
My Dad used to wear Champagne cologne back when I was a kid. I used to drench myself in it and my mother would make me take a bath when I got home because she hated it (my parents were divorced..lol).Dad passed away recently so I'm going to get some of this in his memory. I'm glad to see that it's still around.

I use it daily but not every day.Some days I use other perfume..I bought it because its big and cheap but the bottle looks very simple and the cover around the bottle also looks simple and there is not any stamps or signs..I dont know how to understand if its original..and I should say the franrancex is a very big chance for us to have perfume cheap [...]
