Got the gold label version
Bought this from here. Never owned any Channel Bleu before purchasing this and ended up getting the gold label version. My only complaint is this cologne doesn't stay on my skin or clothes very long. I was expecting better longevity and there is no wow factor using this. My reaction after using this considering the price was I wasn't sure if this was supposed to be as subtle as it is and maybe the white label version is stronger than the gold label. I wouldn't buy it again and it takes 5-10 sprays to get a couple hours out of it then it disappears on my skin completely.

Fades fairly fast
I have had this on my wish list for sometime as I like sophisticated...non-trendy fragrances. The pros. I honestly like the scent. The cons. Does not last...and not in the if someone is very close, they smell it...(which is good. Understated scent) this just goes completely away. Really bummed and for that reason, I would not reccomend. Esp at this price.

I have several bottles of the toilette that my wife bought me....along with the apres rasage balm....which is wonderful to soothe the skin after a great shave....as a qualifier I am 70 years old and grew up with Old Spice and Aqua Velva (I still use both)....Bleu de Chanel is my all time favorite when I put on a suit..or go to dinner...it is high class...subtle.....long-lasting without being overpowering......I've used many colognes...this is by far a classic (like Monseur that I used in college).....classic..........

I go in extremes....I use barbershop aftershaves like Skin Bracer and Old Spice......but when I put a suit on....or am going to dinner with my wife.....I use Bleu de Chanel....have gone through 2 bottles of the after shave balm and almost 2 of the toilette........it is sophisticated.....I think subtle....I do not like foo foo juice and this is a great fragrance that I consider top-end without a top-end price.....I'm a 70 year old ....old school dude and I love this fragrance........

The patriarch of Blue Fragrance
The grapefruit opening combined with ginger is really a blast of freshness and zestiness. The smokiness of incense gives you a mysterious effect to whomever gets to smell you. Theres a reason this is that good and you might not be impressed but rest assured the people you encounter think otherwise. Blue de chanel is blue fragrance before everyone jumped in the bandwagon. This fragrance started this blue fragrance thing and every blue fragrance should be compared to this at is it probably the standard bearer for anything blue fragrance related even if sauvage revolutioned it later on. Chanel is the best designer fragrance house for a reason. When everyone wrote off bleu de chanel to begin with, the fragrance community eventually came around and considered this as a new wave of scent for this decade which brought about this blue fragrance.

Amazing grapefruit opening thats combined with ginger is just fresh and zesty. The incense is just the right amount of smoke to add mystery to your aura. This is a compliment getter. You will understand or see firsthand why this gave way to blue fragrances as it might not impress you but somehow the people around you feel otherwise. Chanel is the best designer house for a reason. Even when this release was originally considered boring, the fragrance community eventually changed their minds and the rest is history as blue fragrance is the thing because of this frag.

The first spray is nothing like what this cologne blooms into. Tangy and citrusy at first. Then after drying down becomes like sweet incense and jasmine, but in a masculine way. Thru the day you will get a whiff of this cologne and it will AMAZE YOU how wonderful it smells. Soooo good! Lasts about 7.0 hours.
