CONSTANT compliments!
I have used this fragrance for many years however there is a problem. Cologne hasn't been available for years??? I continue to use the after shave simply because the cologne is not available. Come on, offer the cologne again. I don't care what it costs.....bring it back!

BRING IT AT BACK INTO LIMITED PRODUCTION
a relaxer , a moment of confidence in a crowded nerve racking situation,a double whiskey with a twist of citrus , what a shame i hear it's being discontinued , i wish they would at the very least do a limited production run of this great smelling cologne , all man here , nothing sweet or feminine at all , but not harsh and strong either , it's comfortable like an old leather chair .

This is my favorite scent when it was cologne now aft shave
I waited for ever for the cologne to be back in stock in many retailers and being told it would soon be replenished only to find out that they stop making the cologne and only distribute the after shave. The after shave is far less appealing than the cologne. What a shame.

Sad it's gone
This was my favorite fragrance. Originally given to me by a girlfriend as a gift. Now only available in after shave. When this is gone, I guess that's it. Not FragranceX's fault. Cigar decided to discontinue it. Too bad!

I've been using this for several years since my wife bought it for me. The department store where she bought it then stopped carrying it because some buyer thought the name was politically incorrect. I found it online and have continued to use it, but now all vendors seem to be out of stock for everything except the after shave. That suggests it is being discontinued. Too bad!

What we need
I was surprised reading the reviews. I have suspected for a while that different people smell this differently (I have been using it exclusively for years). The scent is clean, not at all sickly sweet like most after shaves these days, and relatively faint. Some have indicated it is overpowering, but I find although it is strong when you first put it on, after just a few minutes you need to be right on top of it to smell it, and it does stay that way for some time. But, sometimes women have complemented me on it when they never got close enough that I would think they could smell it, so I suspect different people respond different ways. Similarly, other reviewers have called it floral, I would say, anything but. Licorice? No idea what that reviewer was thinking. Definitely a good, clean, masculine scent, and to my mind, subtle.

Simply ghastly
This would have to be THE worst aftershave I have ever smelt. Its just awful. I can't even describe the aroma except that it is repugnant to the nose and made everyone we came in contact with screw up theirs. Has the Ewwwwww factor :o(

Clean and fresh smell

liquorice - if you like it...
phew, this is liquorice fragrance. It smells like schooltime when you ate liquorice. That is too much for my taste. Very overpowering! After some time the liquorice smell gets fewer and it is getting more earthy - but liquorice is always there. So if you don't enjoy liquorice keep your hands away.

This is a real man's dress-up fragrance. Not one for the boys. Seductive and alluring, full of self-confidence and charm. Highly recommended for men who know what they want and not afraid to seek it. Dry smell
I didn't know Aficionado. I bought it because a comment from a friend of mine. It is a good perfume made for man who like to wear good and "classic" scents. It is neither an "old smell" nor a "modern smeel". It is dry and its top notes are very pleasant. It reminds me a little bit of Bora Bora from Lyz Claiborne. It worths for the wonderful price.

Man with Balls
I didn't know this perfume, but I have always heard lots of compliments about it. I gave it a try and I liked it! It is dry and strong, like the male scents must be! Nowadays it is difficult to see colognes like that in the stores. The market has become very modern and metrossexual, which means that this type of scent have been seeing as "old fashioned" and only the sweet/unissex aromas have place on it. It is a mistake! And Aficionado is a good proof...
