William Sparks Thomson was an American corset maker working in London during the 1840s. He designed corsets for a number of royal clients including Queen Victoria. However, these tight-fitting corsets often caused women to faint. His son, a chemist, created a lavender-based smelling salt to revive fainted clients which led to the creation of Crown Perfumery in 1872.
In 1999, the famous English furniture maker Clive Christian bought the historic perfume house and restored a number of its classic fragrances. He used many of the original scents to create new fragrances, and the company now has over 50 perfumes in its catalogue. All products are original, authentic name brands. We do not sell knockoffs or imitations.

Please be careful when buying this fragrance. Notes listed on FragranceX website is an inaccurate description of the fragrance. If you want the one with rhubarb, make sure you buy the female version. The male version has orris root. Therefore it is a woody fragrance, not a sweet fruity fragrance. The males version remains me of Myths by Amouage

Not worth a fraction of the price
Strong cheap smell you get from 2$ perfumes, this doesn't deserve to enter your nostrils, instead try the 1872 and the C much better.

The Scent Only A King Could Wear!
I have long since loved the Clive Christian line and my personal favorite out of all of them has always been " X ". It is dark, mysterious, alluring, charming, charismatic, engaging and makes the wearer instantly take on a whole new dimension in his overall demeanor and outlook on life. This is one of those fragrances that is SO special that when you wear it you take on it's swagger and you turn from a frog into a Prince. It is intoxicating, hypnotic and mesmerizing. Amazing, magnificent and timeless are words that come to mind when wearing this fragrance. It is expensive but aren't all things that are worth it? If you could afford the price tag I suggest you buy it before someone else does cos this is one of the only colognes on the market that is worth it's weight in gold, or the ingredients listed! Buy it, you won't regret it!
