I love the splash application after a clean shave. The sting is just invigorating. Canoe when first applied is a burst of freshness but quickly dries down to an almost overpowering powdery scent and stays there. Not unpleasant. Just strong.

No compliments. I used to get them a lot. You have altered the composition of The product . But that's par for the course these days. English Leather, Jade East, Brute and no one has any musk that is good. All their colognes have no longevity.

Oldie but Goodie
This was my first "real" fragrance when I was in college. I had completely forgotten about Canoe and thought it had been discontinued. It' a great "light" fragrance, no the least bit overpowering.

What a memory
I used this stuff in college - what a great scent. And the small bottle is fine because just a small spritz will last most the day. Especially nice after it mellows a little, deep and earthy. Glad to find this scent again!

I'm disappointed.
I used this in the long ago past. This doesn't have the aroma that I remember. I also note that the launch date for this was 1996. I used it starting as far back as the 1950s. Also, the bottle is different. Instead of round it is oval shaped. That makes me wonder. My last complaint is it fades away in a very brief time.

Kinda weird
It ostensibly is an original Dana product but I don't recognize it. I haven't even looked for Canoe for years, but I inherited a taste for it from my dad and used it for years and years. I tripped over this by chance and laid out a bunch of money for it. It has a resemblance to the original but I won't be using it.

SIGNATURE FRAGRANCE ONCE AGAIN!
CANOE, after DRAKKAR «GOLD» (which is now sadly and unexplicably «gone forever» usurped by a ghastly imitation «Drakkar Noir») was my «go to» fragrance for years until it became difficult/impossible to find in the various cities where I was living. I bought 2 large bottles and will reorder while In still have a full one in reserve to be sure to not run out. If DRAKKAR «GOLD» ever returns ity would nbecome #1 but CANOE definitely #2.

This is definitely one of those scents that you either love or loathe. It's a classic, fresh, barbershop scent that has a bit of a punch out of the atomizer. It's almost medicinal in smell. If you like barbershop scents, then go ahead a grab a bottle. Otherwise, stay away.
