Santal Royal Perfume by Guerlain, Santal Royal is a beautifully layered fragrance with an arresting depth. The perfume, released in 2014, envelops you in a warm blanket of rich ingredients. Guerlain is one of the oldest beauty companies in the world. The French brand was established in 1828 by Pierre-Francois Pascal Guerlain. Hey everyone, Nicole here. And today I'll be reviewing Santal Royal by Guerlain. This scent is heavily influenced by Arab sensibilities and was launched exclusively through Harrod's luxury department store in 2014. Strong notes of oud and sandalwood give the scent a smoky sharp opening. Other strong notes include roses, leather, cinnamon, and amber. And for me, the whole thing is a quintessential winter scent, especially for nighttime wear. And I really like that. Well, that's all for today. I hope you enjoyed this review. said--it is heavy. I love pairing it with Le Male by Jean Paul Gautlier to bring it down a bit. I am sure other smooth scents would work just as well, though, so experiment to your heart's desire. Aside from how pricey it is, I have no complaints. It last ALL day, no question. It doesn't wear off. As others have noted, it has an extremely strong syrupy, almost chemical like smell when you are applying it, but once it hits your skin is transforms into the scent you want. I love it. I will buy it for as long as they make it.

I will not buy this again

I'm sorry but this is not it. The scent is so synthetic to the point of smelling like cough syrup. It's off putting and I find not one note that would satisfy a lover of fragrances. Disappointed.

Such a unique smell

My favourites, very sensual, warm and luxurious

it is more of an evening scent for most but because I wear it for me I wear it as I please :). Perfume selections are personal but I am adventurous and passionate with a love for luxury and beautiful design so this ticks all the boxes
