I would buy this perfume again
This is an absolutely gorgeous perfume I get compliments every time I wear it sadly it is very expensive so I made my one special purchase for my birthday . This is a modern fresher Shalimar with notes of citrus iris jasmine and rose without being overwhelming and then the vanilla and Tonka bean are also more restrained it is lighter than the original but is superlative femininity in a beautiful bottle

Alas no!
After reading the descriptions and all the various "notes" it had, I ordered, thinking it would smell as good as the original Shalimar that I used to love when I was in college. Alas, no! I don't even know how to describe the dominant fragrance that persisted, but it is nothing like the one from the seventies and if I could return it I would. I have tried the regular Shalimar too and it has changed. So many of the classic fragrances I used to wear are either long gone or way different and I haven't found anything I really enjoy wearing anymore. Disappointed again, I should have ordered a sample dram first.Expensive lesson.

Lovely fragrance
I used to wear classic Shalimar but found it too "heavy" in recent years. This fragrance is the same but much lighter. I'm so happy that I can now enjoy the scent of Shalimar again.

just as good as the Queen
The original Shalimar smells dated to my nose and very pungent smelling when over-applied. This version is Fabulous... nothing but powder and citrus accords that make me feel like I've had a full nights sleep. Alive, fresh, sparkling ready for my summer adventure. I don't think of this as a spring scent only because it's still very cold here during those months. This needs the sunshine. Buy it you won't be sorry! This was a blind-buy for me and I'm glad I took the chance.

My Most Wonerful Scent - Shalimar
I love Shalimar and have since I was a teenager. When I married, every birthday I got a bottle as my gift. Then, suddenly, all my sources dried up. I did not receive any for 5 whole years. I was devastated. Then a miracle happened. In a kiosk in an airport, a dear friend of mine found a bottle o Shalimar. She bought it. On the gift bag was an email addy. I sent off a mail with my phone number and addy. They called and said they were not a source, but gave me you. I have never been without my Shalimar for nearly 4 years now. I wear it every day, even if I am only gardening. You are so prompt with your delivery. The items are well packaged. I also appreciate the files you encl You have a steady customer in me. Never run our of Shalimar!

I would buy this product again
I was an Opium user for 20 years. I stopped using perfume for monetary reasons and developed an allergy to perfume. So I order two from Fragrance X and Shalimar Parfum Initial L'eau works wonders for me. No allergy.

Wish I Could Buy It
After several samples of this delicious scent I ordered a larger bottle. Alas, I received Shalimar Initial instead of Shalimar Initial L'Eau. I decided to keep it rather than hassle with a return, and I sometimes use the Initial. I tried again and was excited when the packaging box stated Initial L'Eeau, only to find that the perfume bottle revealed it as Initial. Can't afford to try again but am VERY disappointed.
