Bel Ami Vetiver Cologne by Hermes, Bel Ami Vetiver by Hermes is a modern reimagining of the brand’s classic Bel Ami fragrance. This exotic men’s cologne was crafted by Jean-Claude Ellena and launched in 2013. Notes of tropical elemi and civet musk give this scent a hint of something wild.
Cardamom and vanilla add a sweet, spicy twist, while Russian leather, iris, and vetiver lend this fragrance its floral yet masculine calming element.
Hermes stepped into the fragrance world with its first perfume, Eau d’Hermès, in 1949. Its first scent for women hit the market in 1961, which solidified the brand’s place in perfumery. Men’s cologne Equipage was released nine years later. Jean-Claude Ellena joined the Hermes team in 2004. Throughout its history, Hermes has released 103 different fragrances. The business is currently run by Patrick Thomas, the first Ceo who isn’t related to the original founder, and has released new scents as recently as 2018.
