This was a blind buy after watching reviews. I think the Maninka fruit is hit or miss. This is along the lines of BDK Gris Chanel. I wasn't a fan but I know folks swear by this one.

Aromatic, fruity, smoky, seductive.
Addictive scent, the maninka note is special for me as is the entire composition. Starts with a spicy but fleeting ginger note, the magic happens when the maninka develops and stays around for quite a while, sweet and delicious (can't get enough of the aroma at this stage). The mondia root, a bit dry/dusty, transitions the scent to the dry-down where the vetiver appears. I love the dry-down, the way this vetiver smells is different from other fragrances I tried, so either it is the way it was designed or it is the interaction with the mondia root note (and faint maninka?) as it is just wonderful to my nose. I wish the dry-down longevity/sillage would be better as I'm quite happy with the performance overall. Also like that during its life one gets the periodic unexpected whiff as a nice bonus. Pity I can wear it only in climate controlled environments. So far, the only Boss fragrance I truly love. Deserves more recognition imho.

Probably the best Hugo Boss fragrance available today
This is probably the best Hugo Boss fragrance and not necessarily because it smells the best but because it smells great and actually LASTS!!! Something you can't say about a lot of other Hugo Boss fragrances. Blind buy worthy.
