Clair Obscur Perfume by Keiko Mecheri, Clair Obscur, formally called Jasmine, is a simple perfume that embodies the carnal tones of night-blooming jasmine. Released with its new name in 2009, this fragrance is an excellent choice for a spring or summer day. Rather than having separate top, middle and base notes as most fragrances do, this perfume has only a handful of scents carefully balanced to achieve an elegant effect. The most prominent note is the floral, sweetly narcotic, green, exotic, animalistic and fleshy jasmine. This scent is further strengthened by the essential oil jasmine absolute, which has much of the same characteristics. Finally, the fragrance is rounded out by a subtle hint of rosy, woody, soft petitgrain.

Keiko Mecheri is a design house named for one of its founders, the other being Kamel Mecheri. This perfumery began making fragrances in 1998 and has 66 perfumes available as of 2019.
