Hommage a l'homme starts off slightly resinous, warm and gasoline-like. It later transitions to something lighter that reminds me of tea notes. Pleasant, rather unique scent but far from a crowd pleaser. Can be worn by the right guy in the right occasion though. The nature of this scent is also rather modest and low key, so performance and projection are unfortunately not that great. It sits rather close to the skin, and doesn't last 6 hrs on me when I do 3 or 4 sprays, so perhaps 7+ sprays might give you better results. The sprayer also doesn't dispense a lot of juice, so more sprays are probably warranted.

I was so excited to receive the smart looking box including the edt and the shower gel; And not at all disappointed. The immediate impression to me is the best of two worlds: Chr. Dior's Fahrenheit and YSL's L'Homme. This blend however stands out with an attractive woody note. Overall I get the comforting sensation of wonderful cleanliness.
